A poem by Hannah Flores nee Wrigley
Abigail’s oldest sister
Abigail Rosella
I remember you
a chubby faced happy baby,
smiling and laughing when you woke up.
I don't think you ever woke up crying.
I remember you
playing outside with us
in the dirt and mud
within the trees.
I remember you
sitting on the bottom bunk below Gracie
writing your stories about fantastical lands and magical characters.
You were so focused and so imaginative.
I remember you
loving to learn about plants and animals, especially marine life.
You loved to create things with your hands.
You loved to sew and cook and be in the garden.
You loved to sing and run.
You wanted to help people and make the world a better place.
You were sweet and kind and joyful and loving.
I will always remember you young and free, creative and joyful.
Rest in peace and glory, Abby.
We love you.
