Kenneth Theodore McCarty was born January 15, 1926 in Cumi, Arkansas to Jeff and Maude (Tackett) McCarty. He served in the US Army Infantry during WWII. Mr. McCarty married Melba Fore September 27, 1947 in Wichita, Kansas. They moved back to Mountain Home in 1962 from Bakersfield, MO. He was a welder, auto body technician and a mechanic for a muffler shop and a member of the Baptist faith. Mr. McCarty enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mr. McCarty is survived by his wife, Melba McCarty; Grandson: Kenneth Scott McCarty (Cynthia) of Pioneer, TN; Granddaughter: Christina Almon (Al) of Seymour, IN; 2 sisters: Wanda Cotter (Randall) of Bakersfield, MO; Betty Sue Smith of Wichita, KA; 4 Great Grandchildren; 3 sisters-in-laws; and 1 daughter in law, Linda.
Mr. McCarty was preceded in death by his parents, son: Gary Lee, 1 brother and 4 sisters.
