Oleta Joyce (Alexander) Haynes, of Graham, departed this life on January 29, 2021 at her granddaughter's house in McKinney, TX at the age of 80 years, 5 months, and 27 days. Graveside inurnment services are scheduled for 2:00P.M. Saturday, February 15, 2021 at the Hewitt Cemetery in Wilson. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.

Oleta was born on August 2, 1940 in Wilson to the late Mr. Eugene Dawson Alexander and Mrs. Christine Ellen (Alexander) Alexander.

Oleta was a devoted homemaker. She loved her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Oleta had many hobbies such as quilting, gardening, games and solving puzzles. She had lived in Bacliff, TX for many years. While living there she served her community as the Bacliff Volunteer Fire Dept. Secretary/Treasurer.

Oleta is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy Lee Haynes; son, Leslie Eugene Gundermann; brothers, Eugene Ulysses Alexander, Lidean Alexander, Jesse Lee Alexander and William Delbert Alexander.

She leaves to cherish her memory to her daughter, Kim Muller and her husband Mark of Houston, TX; Dana Lynn Fitzgerald and her husband Mike of Powder Springs, GA; son, Frederick Joseph Gundermann Jr. and his wife Kay of Bacliff, TX and step daughter, Linda Haynes of Sapulpa; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; many other relatives and a host of friends.
