She was on the 1870 Union County Census and had a daughter, Nora Nelson, age 1.
On the 1880 Uniontown, Union County Census, she was gone and her husband has remarried in 1876. But she had a son, John M. Nelson that was born in 1871. Nora and John were with their father and step-mother.
Since most of Bettie's family is buried in the Bells Mines cemetery, it is thought she would also be buried there.
