Lon L. Davis
Funeral services for Lon L. Davis, who passed away at his home near Kilmichael on June 29th, were held at the Kilmichael Methodist Church, Friday, June 30th. The Rev. John Sutphin, assisted by the Rev. John A. Wade, conducted the services. Interment was in Kilmichael Cemetery with Lee Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Davis, son of the late Dr. J. J. and Emily Lane Davis, spent his entire life in and near Kilmichael. He was a retired merchant, being in the general mercantile business over fifty years until he retired last year.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Della Forest Davis, Kilmichael, and two sons, Walter Dell Davis, Jackson and Joe Davis, Winona.
The friends who served as pallbearers were Dewitt Mitchell, Edwayne Henderson, W. L. Wilson, Y. M. Lott, Eugene Allen, and W. O. Lisenby.
