Eleanor Adella Marcum, 104, of Cutler, Ohio, died at 3:15 A.M. on Sunday, January 31, 2021. Since July 31, 2013, she was a resident of Muskingum Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Beverly, Ohio. She was born on May, 12, 1916 in Columbus, Ohio to Olive May Nichols and Clarence Samuel Rank. She married Levi Leith Marcum at the beginning of WW II and followed him in his military career across the United States and to Okinawa during the Korean Conflict. After her husband retired from the Air Force, they settled in Cutler, Ohio and she worked for several years as the secretary of the Chemistry Department at Marietta College. She is a mother of two children, a son Thomas who resides in Maryland and a daughter, Judith who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death are her husband, parents, and her older sister. She is survived by her younger sister, Clara Jackson of Fort Pierce, Florida and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Marietta, Ohio. This membership formed a primary focal point in her life. Services and her burial in the Glen Rest Memorial Estate in Reynoldsburg, Ohio will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the LDS Humanitarian Aid, 1503 Glendale Road, Marietta, Ohio 45750. Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill, Ohio
