Mrs. Alice B. Wagner
Mrs. Alice Booker Wagner, 71, mother of Mrs. Stephen C. Grigsby, wife of the pastor of Mount Olive Baptist Church, died at 2:10 a.m. yesterday at the home of another daughter, Mrs. J. F. Clapp.
Surviving are two sons, L.O. and L. T. Booker, Knoxville; one other daughter, Mrs. S. J. Smergel, of Philadelphia; five brothers, John and G. F. Kelly of Luttrell, P.O. and L. F. Kelly, Knoxville and I. J. Kelly of Maryville. There are 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Wagner was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church. Her home was at 501 Luttrell Street.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Flat Creek Baptist Church. Burial in the church cemetery. Berry's in charge. A brief service will be at 12:30 p.m. at the home.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Edward and Stephen C. Grigsby, Jr. , Jack and Bill Booker and Clyde Clapp. Baptist ministers will be honorary pallbearers.
