Miss Daisy Irene Lilly, 93, Erie Street, Venango, previous Saegertown and Lancaster, died Thursday, August 24, 1978 at San Rosario Nursing Home, Cambridge Springs, after having been in failing health for several years.
She was born at Mosiertown December 12, 1884, daughter of Frank A. and Catherine Acker Lilly. She was a bookkeeper for more than 40 years for H. Clay Miller Electrical Contractor, Lancaster.
Survivors include a sister, Mildred M. Acker of Venango & several nieces and nephews. She was preceeded in death by a sister, Alice Lilly, and two brothers, Louis and Ralph.
There were no calling hours. Graveside services were held Saturday, August 26, at 2 p.m. at Venango Cemetery with the Rev. John Shaughnesy, retired Lutheran minister, officiating. Arrangements were under direction of H. William Van Matre Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs. The family suggests memorials may be made to Venango Lutheran Church.
