George (Ed) Edward Rick, Sr., 72, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at the Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services in Muscatine. Burial will be in the Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of George. George (Ed) Edward Rick was born March 24, 1948, in Muscatine, Iowa the son of George Elwood and Ardis Yvonne (Lowe) Rick. Ed attended Muscatine Community College. After college Ed was employed by Bandag and later by Servus Footwear of Rock Island. Ed loved spending time with family and friends.
Ed will be deeply missed by his children, Ron (Rosie) Rick of Muscatine, Kevin Rick of Muscatine, George Edward (BillieJo) Rick of Muscatine, Jason Rick and of Muscatine.
Grandchildren, Ashley, Nathan, Zach, Jake, Ethan, Carly, Salena, Jenna, Samantha, Korbin and Layla. as well as his great grandchildren.
George was preceded in death by his wife Juanita Mae (LaRue) Rick, both parents George and Ardis, and his brother Larry Rick.
