James Roland Palma, age 63, went to be with his Lord on November 25, 2015.
He was preceded in death by his son, Aaron James Palma; and father, Roland D. Palma.
Jim is survived by his wife of 15 years, Beth Mitchell-Palma, son Ryan William Palma of Chicago, Illinois, mother Lillian Palma, sisters Patricia (Harold) Oosterbaan, Sandra (Steven) Vander Molen, and Julie (Terry) Edewaard, as well as step-children, grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Jim was born on December 2, 1951, and grew up in Grandville, Michigan, later moving to the Spring Lake area. He enjoyed boating and motorcycling, and was able to participate in many memorable trips with fellow bikers.
Jim established Area Wide Electric in Wyoming and also served as an electrical inspector for Spring Lake Township.
Interment has taken place at Georgetown Cemetery in Hudsonville, Michigan. Friends and family are invited to an open house on Monday, December 7, 2015, at Fellowship Reformed Church, 6610 36th Avenue, Hudsonville, MI 49426. Time is 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Use Entrance "D" under the car port area. The family would like to express our deepest appreciation to the staff of The Laurels of Hudsonville for their loving care of Jim, as well as to the staff of Harbor Hospice Poppen House of Muskegon. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the activities fund of The Laurels of Hudsonville.
