Michael Foster is also known as Ransom Carl DeKalb Foster - He was the son of Carl DeKalb Foster & Mary Estelle Gulley-Foster.

He was Graduate of University of Washington, and the Chicago Art Institute, under the name of Michael Foster. He was the author of "AMERICAN DREAM" "TO REMEMBER AT MIDNIGHT" "HOUSE ABOVE THE RIVER" "THE DUSTY GODMOTHER", other novels and many short stories.

18 Jan 1928 he married Pamela Francis Leonard in Seattle, King Co, Washington. Together they had two children:
Peter Michael Foster (1926-2006)
Gareth Ann Foster-DeMers-Johnson (1933-2019)

In 1941 he married his Literary Agent, Novelist Jane Hardy in New York, New York.
