John "Pops" Ah Choy, 94, of Waikiki, a retired Hawaiian Electric troubleshooter, died in Kaiser Medical Center. He was born in Ookala, Hawaii.

He is survived by sons Ricky, David and Michael; daughters Susanne Young, Judy Bell, Elaine Wong and Linda Chelewski; brothers Manny, Ernest, Joseph, Stephen, Richard and Raymond; sisters Alice De Luz and Veronica Jenkins; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Beachside celebration of life: 8 a.m. Saturday at Kuhio Beach, Waikiki. Paddle-out: 9:30 a.m.
