Barbara had a successful career as a residential real estate agent and subsequently owned her own business as a real estate appraiser in the 1980’s and 1990’s. Following a few short years of retirement, she began a second career in retail sales/management with Kohl’s Department Store, where she worked full time for the last 15+ years.

Barbara was an avid seamstress and crafter. She was skilled in embroidery and quilting. She loved learning new skills such as knitting and crocheting. She loved history and reading nonfiction historical books. She was a lifelong lover of politics and proudly patriotic. She was fiercely protective of her family, had a wonderful sense of humor and a beautiful smile. She also adamantly loved her pets over the years. She was a member of Stout Memorial Church and found lasting friendships in her work family later in life.
