Garnet Lucille Vedvig was born July 19, 1930 in Minot, ND, the daughter of Hjalmer and Selma (Johnson) Vedvig, in Minot, ND. She attended Hartland Elementary School and Minot High School, graduating in 1948.
She was united in marriage to Henry Bloms July 25, 1950, at St. Leoโs Catholic Church in Minot. In 1951, she moved with Henry to what they made Bloms Dairy Farm, rural Carpio, ND, where she farmed grain and dairy.
Henry passed away on June 16, 1999. Garnet stayed on the farm and milked cows until November of 2008, when Bloms Dairy became Bloms Beef. She moved into Minot in 2012.
She was a member of St. Maryโs Catholic Church in Foxholm, the Eagles Auxiliary and the Knights of Columbus.
