Phyllis M. Schoop 75 of Williamsburg went to be with the Lord Thursday, January 21, 2021, at Reid Health. She was born June 10, 1945, in Richmond to LeRoy and Mary Gray Hollingsworth and lived in Wayne County all her life.

Phyllis was a homemaker. She was a member of the Temple of God Church, where she volunteered in the church's food pantry. She was a member of the Wayne County 4-H Fair Committee for over 30 years and was known as the Queen of the Fair Office.

Phyllis is survived by her two children Melinda (Terry) Murray of Richmond and Robert D. Schoop Jr. of Williamsburg, one grandson Brandon Murray (Kailey Sperry) of Richmond, ten brothers and sisters Charles (Nancy) Hollingsworth of Richmond, Martha Kemplen Of Richmond, Ruth Staford of Cleveland Tennessee, Dorothy McDivitt of Pershing, Bill (Tammy Burgess) Hollingsworth of Richmond, Ed Hollingsworth of Richmond, Raymond (Yvonne) Hollingsworth of Richmond, Agnes (Roy) Cross of Richmond, Robert (Patricia) Hollingsworth of Richmond, and Nancy (Roger) Branson of Connersville, nieces and nephews.

Her husband Robert D. Schoop Sr. who she married on June 23, 1963, died on April 17, 2007. Phyllis is also preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, and sisters Mary Cross, Betty Ogden, James Hollingsworth, Donald Hollingsworth, Ethel Hollingsworth, and Billy Hollingsworth, and her special friend Jimmie Kemplen.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. on January 26, 2021, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Rev. William Lewellen officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
