Robert F. Pammler, age 77, of Oswego, formerly of Downers Grove, Illinois and Sedona, Arizona, passed away on Saturday, Jul 19, 2003 at his home. he was born on October 5, 1925, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Raymond and Edna (Hylander) Pammler.
    Robert was united in marriage on August 17, 1946 at the Methodist Church in Downers Grove, Illinois, to the former Dorothy Woodard and they spent the next 56 happy years of their lived together. He was a talented artist and gardener, who also enjoyed music. Robert loved being out of doors and especially camping with his family and friends. He was a skilled carpenter, and a former building superintendent, who not only designed but also built his own dream home, in Sedona, Arizona. Robert and his wife, Dorothy were able to spend 10 happy years in their beautiful home before returning to Illinois. Using his carpentry ability and artistic talents he was also able to help his children build their own homes. Mr. Pammler was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served his country during WWII.
    He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his four children, Laura M. (James) Frasco of Seneca, Illinois, Cynthia L. (Angelo) Kleronomos of Yorkville, Illinois, Deborah (Thomas) LaLonde of Batavia, Illinois, and Robert F. (Catherine Pammler of Oswego, Illinois; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2003, at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 W. Countryside Parkway, Yorkville, IL. Interment will be private.
    A memorial fund for the Oswegoland Park District will be established by his family.
    Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2003 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home in Yorkville, Illinois.
