Elijah Borah was born in Mar 1834 in Grant County,Wisconsin. He contracted Panama fever and died a few days after landing in San Francisco,Ca in Jul 1852.Many years went by and the land (where the Civic Center now is) where he was buried was being excavated and they found him and moved his body to the Old Pioneer/Union Cemetery which is where he now lies.
