Left to cherish her memory are her children—Tony Lane and wife Mary Anne of Chinquapin and Ronda L. Rivenbark and husband Gerald of Rose Hill; grandchildren—Matthew Lane and wife Shelly, Melissa L. Weston and husband Craig, Gerron R. Bishop and husband Justin, and Anna R. Henderson and husband Adam; great grandchildren—Crissa Weston, Ayden Lane, Evan Lane, Owen Lane, Abel Henderson; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Elsie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wallace, NC and her family worshipped there for many years. She enjoyed sewing, making jewelry, word puzzles, and dot to dot games. She enjoyed, more than most people, her ability to talk to others, whether she knew them or not. Above all, she loved her family more than anything on earth. In lieu of flowers, family asks that contributions be considered to the Gardens of Rose Hill in memory of Mrs. Lane.
