WRIGHTSVILLE Clarence F. Blosser, 78, entered into rest after a lengthy illness on Thursday, October 11, 2007, at 4:14 p.m. at Manor Care South. He was the husband of Janet L. (Boyers) Blosser with whom he celebrated over 59 years of marriage. Mr. Blosser was born in Mt. Crawford, Va., on April 25, 1929, and was the son of Vivian (Vanpelt) Blosser Moore of Shiloh and the late Benjamin F. Blosser. He was a warehouse manager for the former Leinhardt Bros., retiring after 39 years of service. He was a United States Army veteran. In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Judy K. Godfrey and husband, James of Felton, Jerry W. Blosser and wife, Gail M. of Red Lion, Patricia A. Laird and husband, James of Felton, Cindy S. Hawkes and husband, James of Red Lion, and Trudy J. Gauthier and husband, Steve of Lancaster; four grandchildren; 12 greatgrandchildren; three brothers, Ray Blosser of York, Benny Blosser of West York, and Eldon Blosser of York; three sisters, Connie Witmer and Nancy McCurdy, both of York, and Evelyn Fulk of Dover; and numerous nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Calvin and Eugene Blosser, preceded him in death. Cremation will take place with Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. There will be a visitation from 9 to 10 a.m. on Monday, October 15, 2007, at Yorkana Church of the Brethren, 88 Main St., York. The memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. with the Rev. William Crenshaw, Baptist pastor, officiating. Burial will be in New Harmony Presbyterian Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
