Ms. Brown was born and reared in Oconee, the daughter of the late Jerry Eugene Cochran and the late Annie Mae Brantley Cochran. She married her late husband Thomas Oliver Brown at the age of 16 and soon began a 50-plus year career in the textile industry with J.P. Stevens prior to joining Forstmann. She was a longtime member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, and one of her favorite pastimes was going to Brown's Barn or Herb's Fish Place every Saturday night. Ms. Brown was an avid collector of Roosters and any Rooster memorabilia, and her favorite color was bright red. In addition to her parents and husband, Ms. Brown is also predeceased by one son Thomas Eugene "Gene" Brown and her sister Eugenia C. Tanner.
Survivors include: her son Ted Brown and his wife Pam of Rhode Island; her daughter-in-law Claudette B. Brown Andrews and her husband Windell of Sandersville; grandchildren, Paula B. Maxwell and her husband Jason of Bonaire, and Lindsey Brown and Megan Thomas both of Rhode Island; great-grandchildren, Caroline Maxwell, Jake Maxwell, Ryan Maxwell, Hannah Maxwell, Michelle Canada, Wyatt Thomas and Eli Charron; great-great-grandchildren, Bayler Rush and Blakely Rush; a special niece and her husband, Bobbi and Randy Helton; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
