John William Benson, a former resident of Reno, died Jan. 8, a Cypress, Calif., mortuary reported today. He lived in Long Beach, Calif., and is survived by his widow, Mary E. Benson; a son, John; mother, Mrs. Helen Rose and two sisters, Mary Hayhurst and Helen Ballam. The funeral will be Friday at 3 p.m. in the Church of Our Father, Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Cypress, Calif.
