G.W Patrick is a half Cherokee Indian. His mother Elizabeth Hildebrand Kilpatrick came over on the Trail of Tears. His father is Joshua Kilkpatrick.

The name was shortened to Patrick with George's generation. Joshua Patrick is one of three founding fathers of the town Braggs,Ok. They both and some of George's siblings are buried at South Bethal Cemetary in Braggs,Ok.

George Washington Patrick is my great great grandfather. The next generation of Patricks are buried at the Ball Cemetery.
