Betty Stokes Pegoda passed away peacefully on December 30, 2020 in Crockett, Texas with her family at her side. She was born December 13, 1950 in Houston, Texas to Harold Whitley and Irene Elizabeth (Smith) Steadman.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Troy Pegoda; sisters Ann West, Ruby Lee Cross, and Linda Gill.
Betty is survived by her son Gene Stokes and wife Shyanne; grandchildren Stormy Stokes and Rowdy Stokes; brothers Harold Steadman; Eddie Sprayberry; and sister Sue Pickle.
Betty was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Point Blank. In her leisure time she loved nothing more than to spend time with her grandchildren. She often traveled to participate in their respective sports, whether it be softball or rodeos. She will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind to cherish her memory.
