Gerald worked as a custodian for the York County Prison. He enjoyed puzzle books, watching his soap opera on TV, and talking with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Gerald is survived by his daughters Iren Johnson and Mary Lane, his step-daughters Jean Long and Tonya Howe, his brothers Darrell and Charles, his sisters Nettie and Jessie, and his 2 granddaughters and 4 great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his grandson R.J.
A graveside service to celebrate Gerald's life will be held at 1:30pm on Friday, January 22, 2021 in Fairview Cemetery, 600 Block of Hellam Street, Wrightsville.
