Samuel Cratcher Dies at Hospital
Samuel Cratcher, 81 years old, died today at a hospital in Fremont, where he had lived for the last 50 years. He had been ill for four years.
Cratcher was born in Illinois December 12, 1859. For many years in Fremont he was occupied as a mortar-mixer. Surviving are his wife, Effie; one daughter, Mrs. O. R. Burt, Mellette, S.D.; one son, James, of Manthe, Idaho, one brother, William, of Fullerton; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 3:30 p.m., at the Fred Bader funeral home. Dr. Paul Philipp will officiate. Burial will be at Ridge cemetery.
