Jack "Till" Probst, 88, of Blanchard, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007 at his home.
Born Jan. 12, 1918, he was a son of the late Milton M. "Moots" and Stella Von Gunden Probst.
Jack married Martha J. "Marty" Robb on Jan. 26, 1946. She preceded him in death on June 7, 2006.
He worked at Piper Aircraft in Lock Haven. Jack also served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army in Panama.
He was a member of the Blanchard Church of Christ, Beech Creek American Legion and was a former member of the Liberty Township Sportsman's Club.
Jack enjoyed fishing and hunting for arrowheads. He lived for his great-grandkids.
Surviving are a daughter, Jacque M. and husband Miles Watkins of Blanchard; a son, James E. and wife Karen Probst of Mill Hall; a sister, Martha Probst Baney of Lock Haven; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by four brothers, George, Paul, Woodrow and Francis; and three sisters, Ruth Bowes, Edith Sands and Mary Haines.
A funeral service will be held Friday, Oct. 12, 2007 at 10 a.m. at the Blanchard Church of Christ, 161 Beech St., Blanchard, with the Rev. Russel J. Moldovan officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home and Cremation Service Inc., 135 W. Main St., Howard.
Interment will be in Christian Cemetery in Blanchard.
