Graveside services were held at 3:00 PM, Monday, January 18, 2021, at Evergreen Cemetery, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Dr. Rich Wright officiating. The Eulogy will be given by her niece Lisa Dorminy Evans on behalf of the family.
Pallbearers will be Chris Turner, Dr. Jake Evans, David Evans, Alan Cardwell, Paul Cardwell and Jim Burke.
Mrs. Hackler was born July 22, 1937, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late Albert W. and Nancy Ada Dorminy. She was a 1955 graduate of Fitzgerald High School. She spent most of her adult life as a Civil Service Employee and upon retirement returned to Fitzgerald in 2005. After returning to Fitzgerald, she became a member of the Dorminy Medical Center Auxiliary working as a Pink Lady. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Dorcas Golden Circle Sunday School Class.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law Kim Turner of Byron; grandchildren: Christopher “Chris” Turner of Statesboro, Jennifer Turner of Byron, as well as a brother, Gene Dorminy of Fitzgerald. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands: Roy S. Turner and John P. Hackler; a son, Glenn Turner and a brother Alvie L. Dorminy.
