Mary Brightie (Luper) Bivins was born in 1912 to William & Callie Luper. According to her death certificate, she passed away suddenly at home due to heart disease. She was only 37 years old when she passed. She was married to Hugh Randall Bivins and together, they had two children: Mary Frances (Bivins) Jones and Hugh R. Bivins, Jr.

I believe it should be noted that "Bivins" tends to be misspelt frequently so there may be records containing various spellings of the name. The are also records where her middle name is spelt as Bridie.

On her death certificate, the cemetery is listed as Adam Cemetery while her obituary has it spelt as Adams. I'm unsure which one it's supposed to be. I don't know exactly where Halls Hill is located and no one around me has ever heard of that place. However, I know for sure that it's in Rutherford County near Murfreesboro. I have a screenshot of the news forecast from Murfreesboro's 2009 Good Friday tornado that does have Halls Hill displayed on it, which is how I know it's near Murfreesboro. This map doesn't show road names or anything so I can't pinpoint the exact location of this area. I asked Gowen Funeral Home for any information on where Mary is buried and they sent one of their workers out to only 1 Adams Cemetery (I don't even know what town they looked in) so they could see if Mary was buried there. They sent him to a cemetery that was designated for people of color and, unsurprisingly, he found nothing. Instead of helping me further, he said she could have been buried in a cemetery with a different name and quickly listed off approximate locations off different cemeteries & hung up. I don't know if there are others buried here or anything. I'm just going by what her death certificate/obituary provided so I apologize in advance if I'm unable to provide any information about the cemetery and photos of her grave. Any help in locating this cemetery is appreciated.
