No headstone has been recorded in Shelby County or the Gibson Wilcox Family Graveyard.
By 1836 Sarah had moved with her daughter Elizabeth Forbis to Boone County, Missouri. About 1844 her son-in-law Alfred G. Beckley came and brought her back to Kentucky, where she lived with her son Gibson. She wrote her will on May 25, 1846, in Jefferson County, Kentucky.
