Mrs. Hilda Mahala Haugh, 94, formerly of 65 Frederick St., Walkersville, died Tuesday, Oct. 14 at Vindobona Nursing Home, Braddock Heights.

She was the wife of William Hamilton Pete Haugh, who died Nov. 30, 1987.

Born Oct. 17, 1908, in Frederick, she was a daughter of the late Adolphus and Lillie Crum Fox.

Mrs. Haugh was a former member of McKaig United Methodist Church and the Harmony Grove Homemakers Club. She had farmed with her late husband for many years. She enjoyed flower gardening and playing cards.

Surviving are two sons, Maurice H. Haugh and wife Jane of Nashville, Tenn., and Melvin R. Haugh of Westminster; eight granddaughters, Lorie Ward of Mount Julie, Tenn., Keri Goode of Jackson, Tenn., Randie McLaughlin of Frederick, Leslie Haugh of Walkersville, Chrissy Polce of Woodsboro, Brenda Love of Fredericksburg, Va., Linda Geiser of Frederick, and Melanie Cowden of Boonsboro; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Lenora Twenty of Hagerstown; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one son, Richard E. Pete Haugh; two sisters, Rebecca Keyser and Mildred Poole; and two brothers, Henry and Jesse Fox.

There will be no visiting or calling at the funeral home.

Interment will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17 at Glade Cemetery, Walkersville. The Rev. Stephen W. Humphrey will officiate.

Robert E. Dailey & Son Funeral Home, Frederick, is in charge of arrangements.
