John was born on June 24, 1946 in Muskegon, Michigan to Ellsworth and Fern Smack.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Beverly, whom he was married to for 29 years, parents Ellsworth and Fern, brother Robert Smack, brother Richard Smack, and sister Lillian Smack.
He leaves behind by his daughter Kim Smack, son Jeff Smack and wife Kristi, granddaughters Sarah Watson and husband Karl, Haleigh House, Hannah House, and Joslyn Smack. Also, sisters Lois Moser and Josephine Griswold.
John was a very loving and giving man who lived to serve God, his church, and his family. He was a devout member of Fort Smith First Church of the Nazarene in Fort Smith, AR. He loved spending time with his family more than anything. John was a fierce Farkle (Sparkle) player.
John retired from Dillard’s department store in Fort Smith, AR. He spent many happy years there as he loved people so much.
Family visitation will be Fri., Jan. 15 from 5-7 at Fort Smith First Church of the Nazarene. Funeral service will be Sat., Jan 16 at 11:00 am at Fort Smith First Church of the Nazarene.
