Mr. James Monroe Pearson, age 79, passed away on last Saturday, June 19th, at the Winona Infirmary.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at four o'clock at the Poplar Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. N. G. Hickman, Baptist minister of Winona, saying the last rites. Interment was in Poplar Creek cemetery, with Trewolla Brothers in charge of arrangements.
The deceased was a well-known Montgomery County citizen who had a host of friends and relatives in this section. He was a member of the Friendship Baptist church.
Surviving the deceased are his wife, Mrs. Allie Pearson, of Kilmichael, and two daughters, Mrs. Hackett Dyre, and Miss Eula Dorris, of Winona.
