MT. PLEASANT Mrs. Mohrmann, wife of Edwin R. Mohrmann, entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of February 23, 2005. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin R. Mohrmann are invited to attend the memorial services of the latter 2:00 PM Saturday, February 6, in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Mohrmann was born February 12, 1922 in Charleston, South Carolina, the daughter of John H. Wohlers and Wilhelmina McKenzie Wohlers. She was a graduate of the College of Charleston and retired as a teacher with the Charleston County Schools. She was a life long member of The Lutheran Church, serving on several Church Councils and Synod Committees; most recently she was an active member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Mrs. Mohrmann was a Past President of Charleston Jaycees Auxiliary, and a life member of Phi Mu Sorority.
She is survived by her husband of Mount Pleasant, SC; three daughters: Lynne M. Bernthal and her husband David of Charleston, SC, Dr. Margaret E. Mohrmann of Charlottesville, VA and Donna M. Hanna of Charlotte, NC; one son: Reverend E. Ray Mohrmann, Jr. and his wife Ann of Rock Hill, SC; eight grandchildren: Thomas King, Elizabeth K. Yandle, Emily Hanna Crane, Michael Hanna, Mary Hanna-Weir, Patrick Hanna, Laura K. Mohrmann, John A. Mohrmann. Two great grandchildren: Matthew Yandle and Sarah Yandle. And a special friend, Dr. Deborah Healey of Charlottesville, VA.
Memorials may be made to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, undesignated, 405 King Street, Charleston, SC 29401 or Franke Home at Seaside, Benevolence Fund, 1885 Rifle Range Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
