QUAPAW, Sept. 20—Charles B. Lloyd [sic: Loyd--wherever named as Lloyd], 57 years old, died at his home at the Commerce rooms here at 5:15 this morning. Death was due to complication of ailments. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Laura Lloyd; three sons, Lester Lloyd of Carthage, Mo.; Eugene Lloyd of Kansas City; Kenneth Lloyd of Aurora, Mo.; two daughters, Miss Ruth Lloyd, Kansas City, and Miss Elizabeth Lloyd of Carthage; three brothers, Earl and Sammy Lloyd of Carthage; Richard Lloyd of Fort Washaki, Wyo., and one sister, Mrs. James Miller of Carthage. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body lies at the Green mortuary.

FORMER CARTHAGE MAN SUCCUMBS AT QUAPAW
Carthage, Mo., Sept. 20.— Charles B. Loyd, 56 years old, former Carthage resident, died at 5:10 o'clock this morning at his home in Quapaw, Okla. Death was due to complications. Excepting six years which he spent in Quapaw, Mr. Loyd was a lifelong Carthage resident. He was born here in December, 1870. Surviving, besides his wife, Mrs. Laura Loyd, of Quapaw, are three sons, Lester Loyd of Carthage, Kenneth Loyd of Aurora and Gene Loyd of Kansas City; two daughters, Elizabeth Loyd of Carthage and Ruth Loyd of Kansas City; three brothers, Sam Loyd and Earl Loyd of Carthage and Richard Loyd of Fort Washakie, Wyo., and two sisters, Mrs. James Miller of Jasper, route 1, and Mrs. Nellie Basett of St. Louis. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

The body will be taken to Carthage, Mo., tomorrow, where final services will be held at the home of a brother, Sam Lloyd [sic: Loyd], at 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon. Burial will be in Park cemetery at Carthage.
