Walter George Heath, 89, of Jesup, Ga. died Monday, January 11, 2021. The Wayne County native was a Baptist and a retired contractor/carpenter and enjoyed wood working and wagon rides with his mules, Jack and Jill. He is predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Connie Jean Lane Heath and his parents, Thomas and Gertrude Heath, and a son, Joseph Heath.

Survivors are two grandchildren, Jessica Morris of Pooler, Ga. and Joshua Heath of Ludowici, Ga., 2 great grandchildren: Dakota Smith of Pooler, Ga., and Jackson of Ludowici; a niece and care-giver, Gloria Howard Sheppard of Guyton, Ga.; a sister, Virginia Heath O’Berry of Brunswick, Ga., along with several additional nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 AM, January 14, 2021 at the Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Rev. Benjamin Mandrick officiating. Interment will follow in the Odessa Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be family members.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home.
