HILLSBORO -- Funeral services for Dewey Lee Carr, 68, Hillsboro 1, who died Saturday morning at the residence of his daughter, will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the Holy Church of Christ, Dennis Tucker officiating, with burial in Johnson's Chapel Cemetery, Guntharp Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include three sons, Carson L. Carr, Trinity; Junior Carr, Hillsboro and Lee Odis Carr, Decatur; four daughters, Mrs. J. T. Kirby, Trinity; Mrs. A. R. Sapp, Decatur; Mrs. Thomas Thurman, Decatur and Mrs. Robert Hutto, Hillsboro; 29 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
The body will remain at 207 11th Ave. S.W. and will lie in state one hour before services at the church.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Carr was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church and a native of Lawrence County.
