M. Mae Lamb, 52, of Las Vegas for the past 17 years, formerly of Galesburg, died Sunday, July 13, 1997, at University Medical Center in Las Vegas.
Born April 13, 1945, in Bonne Terre, Mo., to Harold H. and Gracie M. Curtis, she married Robert G. Lamb in 1962 in East Galesburg.
Surviving are three sons, Jim L. and Larry K., both of Galesburg, and Robert E. "Bob" of Anna; one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Carrie S.) Theesfeld of Oneida; six sisters, Barbara Asher, Jean Segebrecht, Phyllis Simpson, Virginia Gaylord and Mrs. Tim (Connie S.) West, all of Galesburg, and Pat Usher of Missouri; and three brothers, Herbert R. Curtis of Galesburg, Burman Curtis of Oquawka and Lurman of Mendon. Two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.
She was a maid at the former Hotel Custer in Galesburg for many years and worked at Sheraton Inn in Galesburg. She also worked at Knox Laundry in Galesburg, Lady Luck in Las Vegas and the Goodwill store in Las Vegas.
Graveside services will be at Knoxville Cemetery in Knoxville.
