Rance George Starr, 66, of Newalla, Oklahoma passed away Monday, January 11, 2021 at his home.

He was born January 6, 1955 to Theodore and Virginia (White) Starr in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Rance was raised in the Little Axe area and attended Chilocco Indian School and graduated with the class of 1973 from Lawton Eisenhower High School.

He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged.

Rance was a certified auto mechanic. He loved football, going to the casino, riding his motorcycle and being a mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Melissa Starr; and sisters, Lavina Tiger, Margaret Ellis, Rebecca Roubidoux and Silvia Tullius.

Those left to cherish his memory are 3 sons, Christopher, Lawrence and Dancer; daughter, Jamie; numerous grandchildren; 9 sisters, Bernice Blanchard, Vera Walker, Mary Torrez-Salazar, Cynthia White, Brenda White-Valdez, Avis Lewelling, Taree R. Williams and Verna Dospapas; 3 brothers, Martin Starr, Thomas White and Edward White; and numerous extended family and friends.

Tribal Rites will be held Wednesday Evening, January 13, 2021 at Absentee Shawnee Tribe Community Center in Little Axe with Glenn Mann officiating. Burial will be Thursday Morning, January 14, 2021 at White Family Cemetery, 17800 East Tecumseh Road, Newalla, OK under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
