Helen Margarite Robinson, 100 of Bixby, Oklahoma passed from this life on Sunday, January 10, 2021 in a Tulsa hospital. She was born January 23, 1920 in Springfield, Missouri to her parents, James Stephen Chandler and Flossie Verniece Hager Chandler. She married the love of her life, Kenneth Robinson in 1949 and they shared in over 62 wonderful years before his passing in 2011.

Helen is survived by her three children, Stephen Robinson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Margaret Tarrant of Bixby, Oklahoma and Glenna Gillentine and her husband Andy of Columbia, South Carolina; ten grandchildren, Tara Sterling, Bryan Tarrant, Lauren Harris, Claire Ward, Jenny Mullholland, Lisa Robinson, Tiffany Robinson, Gena Simon, Debbie Clark and Renee Gill; eighteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many friends and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Flossie Chandler; her husband, Kenneth Robinson and her son, Butch Robinson.

Visitation will be held from 3-6 p.m. on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Floral Haven's Funeral Home Chapel.

Helen was inducted into the Centenarians of Oklahoma Hall of Fame on the occasion of her 100th birthday celebration. She had these words of wisdom: "The hurrier you go the behinder you get!" Helen's Centenarian file will be sent to the Oklahoma Historical Society to become a permanent part of Oklahoma History. - Contributor Peggy Barnett.
