Trudy Lorraine Hunt Stansbury , ARROYO CITY Trudy Lorraine Hunt Stansbury, of Rio Hondo, TX passed away in Madisonville, TX on Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at the age of 90. She was born in Fredrick, OK on July 22, 1917, the daughter of Alva J. and Alma Hunt. She moved to the Valley when she was about 1 1 years of age and graduated from Edinburg High School. She was a past member of the Order of the Easter Star Chapter 772 of Weslaco and over the years she was also a member of the Church of Christ in Weslaco, Donna and Combes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Frank Stansbury; her brothers, Lee Hunt, Dee Hunt, Ped Hunt, Pete Hunt, Joe Hunt and and Jay Hunt; and by her sisters, Edith Keener, Margie Wilson and Fannie Lee. She was a loving mother and her independence, zest for life and love of people will always be remembered by her friends and family. She is survived by her loving daughter, Dottie Johnston and husband Harvey; step-son, Warren Stansbury and wife, Barbara; five grahdchjldren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be neld .today, Thursday, April 17, 2008 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco. Graveside services and interment will be held on Friday, April 18, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco. Officiating the service will be Minister Wayne Stansbury.
