GALION - Paul A. "Skip" Gantzler, 77, former Lake Galion resident passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Magnolia Terrace in Galion where he had been a resident for the past two years.

He was born September 13, 1943 in Crestline and was the son of Paul W. and Martha E. (Parr) Gantzler. Paul married Margaret J. "Peggy" (Gugliemello) Gantzler on July 15, 1967 and they were married nearly 47 years until her passing on May 7, 2014.

Skip was a 1961 graduate of North Robinson High School and served his country in the United States Navy. He worked as an Inspector at PPG in Crestline for his entire career. Paul was a life-long member of the Lake Galion Club. He was an avid outdoorsman and volunteered at the Wildlife Haven.

He is survived by two half-sisters, Luella Snyder of Crestline and Ruby Kempf of Galion.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by two half-brothers, Charles and John Meyers.

Following his wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral.
