Nellie Again, 104, passed away January 10th, 2021 at The Arbors of Bluff Creek Terrace due to Covid complications. She was born August 29, 1916 to Orville and Beulah White near Hartsburg, MO. She married Hansel Again in 1946.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Coats (John) of Columbia and two sons, Terry Again of Columbia and Jimmy Again of Hawaii, three granddaughters, Jessica Child (Mark), Jody Frank (Michael), and Caty Woodmansee, and five great-grandchildren, Orion, Asa, and Rowan Child, and Olive and Ezra Frank.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and five younger brothers, Hollis, Elmo, Kenneth, Beuford, and Charles Henry.

After graduating from Ashland High School she took a test to become a teacher and taught several years in rural Boone County schools having her youngest brother as one of her pupils. She took summer college classes in Warrensburg. She worked in the Army ROTC office in Columbia where she met Hansel. She also worked at Boone Electric Cooperative. She spent many years along with Hansel as hostess/host of Calvary Baptist Church, sang in the Evergreen Choir, and was a volunteer auxiliary member at Ellis Fischel Cancer Hospital. She enjoyed flower gardening, sewing quilts, and was an excellent cook, known to many as the “cookie lady.” She enjoyed playing cards with her friends at the Senior Center. Nellie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and a fine example of a loving, Christian person to everyone around her.

There will be a private family burial in Columbia Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Calvary/Heritage Church, 1703 W. Worley Street, Columbia, Missouri 65203.
