Herbert G. Ehlers, 86, passed away at a Groesbeck nursing home Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at Prairie Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Littlepage Funeral Home.
Herbert was born in Falls County, Texas, to the late Gerald and Marie (Lebkowsky) Ehlers. For over 50 years he was a welder and painter for Dugan Trailers.
His survivors include his son, Marvin "Red" Ehlers and wife, Barbara, of Mart; daughters, Grace Jean Cook and husband, Charlie, Shirley Ann Stone, and Mary Ann Cranford, all of Mart, and Betty Sue Allen and husband, Wendell, of Charlotte, N.C.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and brother, Paul Ehlers, of Riesel.
