Lonn Kimball Black

St. George - Lonn Kimball Black passed away on December 31, 2020, at Dixie Regional Medical Center. He was 82 years old. He was born in Pomona, California, to Wells and Blanche (Ring) Black. He married Gundi on January 27, 1962, in the St. George temple. Together they raised four children.

Lonn was a graduate of Brigham Young University. He served a mission in South West Germany for the Church of Jesus of Latter-day Saints. Lonn and his wife Gundi lived through-out the state of California choosing to retire in St. George, Utah. Lonn's family was his heart. Lonn spent many years working with Exxon Oil and as an entrepreneur in the field of finance/investments. He enjoyed vacationing with his family and friends and loved spending time at the beach in San Clemente and driving his dune buggy. He and Gundi traveled to Gundi's home country, Germany, many times. He was a car enthusiast and had a particular love of old cars, especially his yellow 1956 Ford truck. Lonn dedicated countless hours sharing his love of sports with his children and grandchildren and playing cards with those he loved.

He is survived by his wife: Gundi Black of St. George, Utah. Daughter: Lisa (Sharol Olson) Black of Santa Clarita, California. Daughter: Launa (David) Naylor of Provo, Utah. Son: Steven (Lynda) Black of San Diego, California. Daughter: Sheila (Troy) Toolson of Gilbert, Arizona. Grandchildren: Anthony Hasson, Emma Black, Alyssia Black, Andrew (Lauren) Naylor, Chad (Camarie) Naylor , Cydne (Porter) Holland, Cameron Black, Cody Black, Connor (Kelsey) Toolson, Jake (Sarah) Toolson, Halle (Zac) Willardsen and Anna Toolson, Great grandchildren: Wells Naylor, Banks Naylor, Kyler Toolson, Mya Toolson, Gus Toolson, Rosie Toolson and Brother: Gary Wells (Barbara) Black and Nieces: Laura and Julie.

Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 11:00am in St. George, Utah. Due to COVID-19, services will be private, but available on Zoom for family and friends not able to attend.
