Utica - Sunday at his home 78 Warren street, Adam Portman passed away after a long period of ill health.
Born in Insingen Baden, Germany, 75 years ago, he came to this country 40 years ago (1868). After living for five years at Coeymans, Albany county he came to Utica, where he had since lived.
Mr. Portman was a member of St. Joseph's Church and was held in the high esteem of all who knew him.
Five years ago his wife died. He leaves a son, John Portman, a daughter, Mrs. J.P. Young and five grandchildren. Utica Saturday Globe, August 17, 1907
