Clara E. Spies was born in Scott County. She married William Petersen in Davenport March 21, 1912. He died in 1949. Mrs. Petersen later married (her brother-in-law) Rudolph Petersen in Davenport Nov. 18, 1959.
Mrs. Petersen is survived by her husband; sons, Arnold and William, both of R.R. No. 2, Davenport; daughters, Mrs. Marie Egel, Stockton; Mrs. Elsie Lowery, Davenport; and Mrs. Verna Muller and Mrs. Darlene Mays, both of Durant; 24 grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Jessen, Davenport.
