Mary Louise Pike, 71, a native of Minneapolis and a resident of Santa Cruz since 1930, died today in a local hospital alter an illness of about two years.

She came to California in 1920, settling first in Salida. Her home here was at 1361 38th avenue. She was a member of the St. Joseph's church of Capitola and the Gold Star Mothers.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Mary Brofft of Santa Cruz, Mrs. Dorothea Almgren of San Diego, Mrs. Dolores Gibson of Santa Cruz and Sister Helen Louise, CSJ, of Orange: her mother, Mrs. Adele Bissonette of Santa Cruz; a sister, Mrs. Cecelia Lumpkins of Santa Cruz; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A son, Anthony Pike, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 8:30 a.m. in White's chapel, thence to the St. Joseph's church where a requiem mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 9 o'clock with Msgr. Joseph Phelan officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Calvary cemetery in Aptos. The rosary will be recited tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. in White's chapel.
