Mrs. Looper was born in Randolph, NC to the late Samuel Clark Boone and Catherine Cureton Boone. She was a member of Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church and the Daughters of the Nile Foundation. Catherine graduated from Pickens High School and attended Winthrop University. She enjoyed traveling, reading and volunteering for Meals On Wheels. Catherine was a beautiful, compassionate loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She always believed the Journey was worth the Reward and will be truly missed by her loved ones.
Surviving are two sons, Ron Looper and William Bruce Looper and wife Patricia; one brother, Jerry Boone and wife Shirley; two sisters, Sarah Roof and Martha Martin; a granddaughter, Ginny Counterman and husband Jamie; two great-grandsons, Jack Counterman and William Counterman. She was predeceased by two brothers, Samuel C. Boone and Charles F. Boone.
