The source of Nettie's DOB is page 3 of the William J. Donaldson-Nutty Lucretia Reeves Family Bible. This is William James Donaldson's first of three wives.

Nettie was married to William J. Donaldson in DeKalb County, GA. on November 20, 1851 by Josiah Power. Their marriage license was issued by Alex (?) Johnson on November 17, 1851. I sourced this marriage information from the DeKalb County Marriage records.

Children of Lucretia and William James Donaldson, listed in this William J. Donaldson-Nutty Lucretia Reeves Bible:
1. James W. Donaldson 9/23/1852-10/10/1853
2. Nancy L. Donaldson Turley 11/10/1854 - ?
3. Florence "Florie" L. Donaldson Wade 1856-1910
4. John Calhoun Donaldson 11/1859 - 03/1860

Pregnancy and childbirth were obviously more risky in the 1800's. Nettie died at 33 years old. We don't know where she is sleeping in death yet. She deserves to be remembered. She may be with her father in the Nancy Creek Primitive Baptist Church graveyard. She is not on Franklin Garrett's list, however. It may be because her marker is underground.

Sourced from the U.S., Federal Census Mortality Schedules, 1850-1885:
Nettie died of childbed fever four days after her Son, John Calhoun Donaldson was born. Baby John Calhoun Donaldson died in March 1860 suddenly, cause unknown.
