Lance J. Norman
Lance J Norman, 56, of Ontario died Monday, March 19, 2018 at home. The cause of death is unknown. He was born May 19, 1961, in Tempe, Arizona to parents Joretta (Simmons-Moeller) and Fred Norman.
Lance is survived by brother Scott Norman and family, two nephews, one niece, and multiple cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, George Moeller, grandmother Avo Moeller, mother Joretta Simmons-Moeller, and father Fred Norman.
The Norman family moved from Arizona to Ontario when Lance was a young boy. Lance and his brother Scott grew up and graduated from Ontario High School, excelling in sports. He enjoyed coaching football and working with young kids. He worked in construction and helped his mother in real estate until her death.
Although Lance was always surrounded by his friends he liked his privacy. He enjoyed writing poems and songs, selling one that became a top country hit. Lance was a man of faith that he conveyed only to a few.
Lance lived a simple life in his Grandpa George's farm house. He loved entertaining, he loved his friends, and he loved conversations, especially those lasting for days. He never met a stranger and was loved by many. Lance loved all animals and recently lost his two beloved dogs Ralphie and Missey, which broke his heart. He is survived by his companion Alphie, adopted by Steve Moeller and his cat Tibbs by Angie Hussey. There's four more sibling cats if anyone would like to adopt.

We all know if Lance could leave a final message he would wish us all a wonderful life, raise his hand in a toast and say... until we meet again!
Service will be held at the Elks Lodge Ontario, Oregon, Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
